FLYING WITH A BABY
Travelling with baby in tow can still be a fun, stress-free experience. We’re happy to welcome your little ones on board and we'll always ensure that they're safe and comfortable throughout the flight.
Wherever you're flying with baby, you'll find that our specially designed in-flight cots will help them get off to sleep just like home; we'll heat up milk for you, as and when you need it; certain toilets are fitted with changing facilities; and we do carry some spare baby items, such as bottles - though we would advise you to bring your own. And if it's just you travelling with baby, we'll make sure you get all the support you need. IN-FLIGHT COTS
We offer three types of in-flight cots, depending on the aircraft and cabin travelled in, which are suitable for young infants. Manufacturer weight and height restrictions apply. (See below for further information).
For reasons of safety, it is your responsibility to ensure that your baby does not exceed the height and weight dimensions on the dates you intend to travel with us. If at the time of travel we are not satisfied that your baby meets the height and weight restrictions, we reserve the right to refuse to provide an in-flight cot. The in-flight cot must be requested before you fly. Please call our Contact Centre for availability and booking. Please note: Over the next few weeks, we may experience a shortage of sky cots/bassinets on our A340-300 and A340-600 aircraft. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. After take-off, the cabin crew will install the in-flight cot for you. Unless an Infant Cradle is available on the aircraft and cabin you travel in (see below), you will be required to remove your child if the seatbelt signs are illuminated during flight. Please note, there are no in-flight cot positions in the Upper Class cabin on B747-400 aircraft operating to/from Gatwick or Manchester.
