VIRGIN ATLANTIC CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF FLYING TO HONG KONG

Virgin Atlantic first touched down in Hong Kong in February 1994, and since then more than 2.1 million passengers have flown with us to this amazing city. Whether it’s the view from the Peak, the retail therapy of a shopping centre that jumps from skyscraper to skyscraper or a boat trip out to one of the many islands, Hong Kong really has so many experiences to offer.

Since our inaugural flight to Hong Kong, we've been painting the town red, and not just in Lang Kwai Fong after too many cocktails! Our marketing team have had one of the famous green and white Star ferries decorated in Virgin red and we sponsor the Kenyan Rugby Sevens team, one of the South Stand favourites at the annual Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

Over the 15 years we've been flying to Hong Kong, the destination has become an important part of our network, with twice daily flights to and from London and a daily flight to Sydney, Australia. It also has a luxurious Virgin Clubhouse for our Upper Class passengers and Flying Club Gold card holders.
