John F. Kennedy International Airport
You’ll be impressed with our smooth check in services at JFK’s Terminal 4.
When to arrive for your flight
We recommend you get to the airport with plenty of time to spare – it’s a good way to avoid last-minute stress! As a rule of thumb:
- Virgin Atlantic flights: arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to leave.
- Partner airline flights: we recommend you check in three hours before your scheduled departure.
Check in options
You can check in for your flight and pick up your boarding pass using any one of the following options.
Online check in
The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card. Just go to Manage your flights. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate.
Counter check in
The helpful staff at our check in desks will get you on your way as quickly as they can. You’ll find our desks through door 2. Check in desks for Economy and Premium Economy are in departure row 3, and Upper Class check in is located in the Sky Priority Area in row 1 on the Departure Level, from 14.15.
We also have an Upper Class hand baggage only check in desk, which is located just inside door 2 on the left hand side.
