As most of our flights from the Caribbean leave in the evening, we offer a check in and chill out service – leaving you longer to loll on your lounger.
When to arrive for your flight
We recommend you get to the airport with plenty of time to spare – it’s a good way to avoid last-minute stress! As a rule of thumb:
- Virgin Atlantic flights: arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to leave.
- Partner airline flights: we recommend you check in three hours before your scheduled departure.
Check in options
You can check in for your flight and pick up your boarding pass using any one of the following options.
The best way to check in is online. You can pick your seat and print your boarding card. Just go to Manage your flights. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate.
You can use our mobile site to check in wherever you are, anytime between 24 and 2 hours before your flight leaves.
To check in at the airport, make your way to the Main Terminal where you’ll find our desk numbers on the flight information screens.
If your hotel offers the check in and chill out service, then you can check in with us at your hotel in the morning. This service is available for a small fee. You need to be at the airport 50 minutes before your flight. Virgin Holidays and Upper Class passengers can use this service free of charge.
Baggage information
Not sure how much to bring for your flight, or want details on restrictions? Check our Baggage information pages for full details.
Did you know?
- It's best to walk through Immigration and Security once you have checked-in, particularly on Friday and Saturdays when there are multiple airline departures and the area can become congested.
- An Airport Information Desk can be found in the main terminal to assist with any enquiries.
