Chicago Glams-Up

South Norwalk, CT (April 29, 2013)
To celebrate Virgin Atlantic resuming flights between Chicago O’Hare and London Heathrow, the airline’s ‘Sky High Glam’ team will be taking to the streets of the Windy City to offer top beauty tips to Chicagoans. In addition to surprising the unsuspecting passerby, Virgin Atlantic will be searching out those in need of some #SkyHighGlam via social media. Fans of the airline on Facebook or followers of their North American Twitter handle – @VAAtheUSA (opens in a new window) – will be able to have their beauty wishes granted.

With their sexy, stylish uniforms, silk scarves and signature red lips, Virgin Atlantic cabin crew have always stood out from the crowd. But their unforgettable looks don’t happen without tips and tricks from an in-house team of beauty experts.

“There’s nothing better than a new look, hairstyle or outfit to add a skip to your step, especially when the weather starts turning from dull winter to sunny spring,” says Rebecca Creer, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Beauty Officer. “Our crew pride themselves on bringing glamor to the skies, from the way they look to the experience they provide our passengers. We want to share some of our glamor training in how to survive the elements, and what better time of year than spring to celebrate something special from 35,000 feet on the streets to celebrate our return?”

The Virgin Atlantic team is in Chicago to celebrate the re-launch of daily flights from Chicago O’Hare to London Heathrow on May 1, 2013. The flight departs ORD at 6:00pm and arrives at LHR at 8:00am the following day. Passengers will now be able to connect beyond London on the airline’s new short-haul service, Little Red (opens in a new window), to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester.
