Assistance at the airport

If you or anyone you’re travelling with needs help getting around at a European airport, just let us know in advance.

It’s actually the airport that provides your assistance rather than us, due to EU regulations. However, we’re happy to arrange it for you to make things easier.

Airport staff can be arranged to help the elderly and passengers with a disability or reduced mobility. They can assist from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the airport:

Departure

You’ll receive assistance from the point you arrive at the airport to your seat on the plane. Just use the appropriate help point in the car park, on the rail platform or at the coach station to let them know you need assistance.

Arrival

You’ll receive assistance from your seat on the plane to the point you depart the airport.

Transfers

You can get assistance from the seat of one plane to the seat of the next. For more detailed information, have a look at your airport's website.

Book a wheelchair

If you need mobility assistance at any of our airports, we are happy to arrange this for you. Please call our Special Assistance team or email us at Special_Assistance@fly.virgin.com (opens in a new window).

If you are planning on bringing an electric mobility aid, we do need some more information from you so that we can make all the necessary arrangements to carry it safely and securely. More information about mobility aids.
