Use our In Town check in service to avoid the queues at the airport and squeeze every last minute out of your trip. If you’re hooking up with us from a connecting flight you’ll find us at the brand new Terminal 3.

When to arrive for your flight
We recommend you get to the airport with plenty of time to spare – it’s a good way to avoid last-minute stress! As a rule of thumb:

- Virgin Atlantic flights: arrive at the airport at least three hours before your flight is due to leave.
- Partner airline flights: we recommend you check in three hours before your scheduled departure.

Check in options
You can check in for your flight and pick up your boarding pass using any one of the following options.

Counter check in

Head to the east side of Terminal 3 and we’ll do the rest.
We open 4 hours before departure time.
If you’re flying on a Thursday or Sunday, we recommend you check in early to avoid the busiest time between 14.00 and 15.30 – leaving you time to relax over a bite to eat.

Curbside check in

For super-fast, friendly and complimentary curbside chck-in, just follow the Virgin Atlantic signs outside the terminal and you can check-in with a breeze and head directly to the gate. We open 4 hours before departure time.

Kiosk check in

Our automated kiosks and bag drop provide a speedy option for check in at Terminal 3. Our hosts are ready to assist you if needed.

Online check in

You can also check in online. You can pick your seat and print your boarding card.
Just go to Manage your flights and follow the easy steps; we’ll see you at our complimentary curbside check-in outside Terminal 3 when you drop off your bags.

Mobile check in

You can use our mobile site to check in wherever you are, anytime between 24 and 2 hours before your flight leaves.
