20 January 2014: Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme was ‘Highly Commended’ in the Business Travel Awards 2014.
4 January 2014: We delivered 13 tonnes of supplies including medicines and health kits to the Philippines. Our onboard appeal also raised over £32,000.
27 November 2013: Today we are announcing an aviation-first, becoming the only airline to set itself robust noise targets and publish a strategy for delivering on those targets, in a fully peer-reviewed Noise Management Strategy.

Here's what we've been up to recently ...
23 October 2013: Virgin Atlantic and LanzaTech are announced a ‘Future Is Here’ finalist at the 2013 Corporate Entrepreneur Awards. Judges said: “This is a hugely ambitious project with the potential to change the face of the aviation industry”.
16 October 2013: Our Change is in the Air Sustainability Report 2013 is online. It’s a progress update of our key initiatives in our sustainability programme.
23 September 2013: Emma Harvey, Head of Sustainability, explains our award-winning approach to sustainable aviation fuels and how we are innovating towards the routine use of low carbon fuels, as a key part of our Change is in the Air sustainability programme.

12 September 2013: 52 riders assembled on Boston Common to cycle over 250 miles, across four states in four days, from Boston to New York.

23 April 2013: The UK aviation cross-industry association, Sustainable Aviation, launched the industry’s first Noise Road-Map today, demonstrating that noise from UK aviation will not increase with greater flights over the next 40 years. This can be achieved through the development and introduction of quieter aircraft alongside the implementation of better operating procedures and improved land-use planning.
