Virgin Atlantic Little Red passengers will have the last laugh this August when they are treated to a series of exclusive on-board performances as Little Red LIVE, part of Virgin Atlantic Live: On Air activities for 2014.
With a stellar comedy line-up featuring Russell Kane, Richard Herring, Carl Donnelly and Tom Craine, the exclusive sky-high performances will be available on the Virgin Atlantic Little Red domestic service on selected flights between London Heathrow and Edinburgh.
Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner and the Barry Award Winner, Russell Kane is a multi-talented writer and performer who has firmly established himself as one the best comics in the UK today.
This year, Russell embarked on a UK tour with his brand new stand up show Smallness, and he was recently on our screens hosting the third series of Live at the Electric for BBC Three, as well as co-hosting Staying In with Russell and Greg a follow on from the much loved Unzipped (formerly Britain Unzipped) also on BBC Three. Russell will be taking his stand up show, Smallness, his podcast, The Kaneing and his one man, dark, dramatic monologue, The Closure of Craig Scolly, to the Fringe this year.
Russell will be performing on the VS3005 from London Heathrow to Edinburgh and the VS3006 from Edinburgh to London Heathrow on the 1st August.
Carl started performing stand up in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the UK's most exciting young comedians.
His conversational sense of humour saw him become a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland and win a host of awards, including the Chortle Best Newcomer and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year. Carl's debut solo show Relax everyone, it's Carl Donnelly!, which he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, Carl has returned to Edinburgh with four further solo shows and following his nomination with his fifth show in 2013 for the Fosters Comedy Award, is set to return to the Festival this year with a new show, Now That’s What I Carl Donnelly Vol. 6.
Carl will be performing on the VS3006 from Edinburgh to London Heathrow and the VS3009 from London Heathrow to Edinburgh on the 8th August.
Tom Craine is an award-winning comedian, writer and one third of critically-acclaimed sketch group, Jigsaw.
With an increasing presence on TV and radio, Tom’s credits include BBC Three's Live At The Electric, Russell Howard’s Good News, BBC Radio 4's Sketchorama, Dave's Phil’s Ill, ITV's Arthur Smith’s Comedy Club and as the presenter of BBC Four's documentary Glastonbury: Jesus to Jay-Z. Tom is also the ‘Sex and the Single Guy’ columnist for Cosmopolitan magazine. He returns to the Edinburgh Festival this year with his brand new solo show, Thoughts on Love (By A Man With None Of The Answers).
Tom will be performing on the VS3006 from Edinburgh to London Heathrow and the VS3007 from London Heathrow to Edinburgh on 15th August.
Richard Herring is one of the UK's most prolific comedians. This year he finished his tour of the UK with his tenth consecutive stand-up show in ten years, the critically acclaimed We’re All Going To Die!
Dubbed ‘The Podfather’ by The Guardian, Richard's audio podcast and sketch show As It Occurs To Me won a Chortle Award and was Sony-nominated. Richard's recent TV appearances include Argumental, Set List, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Richard will be taking his brand new show, Lord of the Dance Settee and his new play, I Killed Rasputin, to the Edinburgh Fringe this year.
Richard will be performing on the VS3006 from Edinburgh to London Heathrow and the VS3009 from London Heathrow to Edinburgh on 22nd August.
