We make flying with us as comfortable as possible. That’s why as well as our average 31” seats, we offer two extra ways to space out. And they won’t break the bank.

Extra legroom

Get an additional three inches of space with our extra legroom seats, from just £20/$30 one way (subject to availability). It’s a great choice if you’d love more space to stretch your legs, or if you’re travelling with children and could do with a little extra room.

(Please note this service is not available on Little Red (UK domestic) flights.

  • Prices will be charged based on departing location, so UK departure will be priced in British Pounds and US departures in US Dollars.
  • For departures elsewhere, when purchased at the airport the British Pound charge will be converted into the local currency.
  • Prices may vary due to exchange rates.
  • These seats are allocated under Civil Aviation Authority rules and our General Conditions of Carriage. In the event of a medical emergency you may need to move seat, in which case a full refund will be given.
  • Extra legroom seats to Tokyo can only be booked through our contact centre.
  • Extra legroom seats to Sydney can only be purchased at the airport.
  • Please note that some local taxes may be applied if purchased at the airport.

Exit row seats

You’ll be the envy of the cabin with a sought-after exit row seat, available from £40 one way. With no seat directly in front there’s plenty of space to stretch out.

Our exit row seats are near to galleys and/or toilets, so there might be a little extra bustle at certain points during your flight.

Exit row seats are allocated under Civil Aviation Authority rules and are subject to availability, as well as our General Conditions of Carriage. Passengers must be at least 16 years old to travel in an exit row seat. In the event of a medical emergency onboard we may need to ask you to move seat. If this happens we’ll give you a full refund.

(Please note we do not charge extra for exit row seats on Little Red (UK domestic) flights).

How to book

You can buy your extra legroom or exit row seats when you check in at the airport. Or if you’ve booked directly with us, call us on 0844 209 7730*. It takes us two full days to confirm your booking. Travel agency bookings, both ticketed and unticketed can also call and purchase these seats.

We recommend you book early as these seats are popular, especially on our longer flights. We offer them on a first come first served basis, and extra legroom seats are subject to availability.

*If you’re flying directly from London to Sydney or returning on this route, without a stopover, you’ll need to buy your extra legroom seats at the airport.
