Las Vegas

Take a Virgin Atlantic flight to Las Vegas and you'll be blown away by this spectacular city. Hit the Strip and try your luck in one of the many huge casinos, watch the Bellagio fountain display or just take a stroll along the Strip and take in the atmosphere - a trip to Vegas is an experience you'll never forget!

If you'd prefer to shop than gamble, visit the Fashion Show Mall where you'll find a range of shops including Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's and Bloomingdales. There are also a number of outlets a short taxi ride away, where you'll find lots of popular brands at discounted prices.

To get away from the Strip, take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon and get some stunning photos on the way, or take a tour to the Hoover Dam - you can even go rafting in the river below!

Dubai

Just a short flight away, Dubai is the ideal short break destination. It offers sunshine, pure white beaches, high end restaurants and great shopping at its mega shopping malls and wide variety of markets.

Once you've soaked up enough sun, and spent enough time chilling on the beach, head for the Dubai Mall for some shopping and time in the shade. With over 1,200 shops including Bloomingdales as well as high street brands, there's lots to keep you busy.

Time for dinner? Dubai has lots of restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines. For beautiful views as well as food, head to the award winning 101 Dining Lounge and Bar, where you can enjoy a varied menu including tapas, fresh salads and seafood, whilst taking in panoramic views of the Dubai skyline.

Chicago

The birthplace of the skyscraper, and home to a spectacular collection of landscape design and art, Chicago has lots to see. If you're an art lover, visit the Art Institute of Chicago, which is home to over 54,000 works including architecture and design, prints and drawings and pieces from around the world.

More of a thrillseeker? Take a trip to the Six Flags amusement park and really let your hair down on seven miles of roller coaster tracks and some record breaking thrill rides!

Whilst in Chicago give their speciality dish a try - the deep dish pizza! Far from the Italian version, it has a buttery crust up to three inches tall, and is full of cheese, toppings and sauce.

Boston

Take the Friday afternoon Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow and you'll be there in time for dinner - lobster in Maine is an essential dining experience.

Go for a stroll, hike or cycle through New England's colourful woodland or  take a walk along the Freedom Trail - a brick-lined route that leads you to 16 historical sites, including churches, museums, burial grounds and lots more.

Sports fan? If you're in Boston between April and September, you can catch a Red Sox baseball match at Fenway Park, one of the nation's most famous and historical sporting arenas.
