We asked for feedback and we got it! And so far it's been positive across the board, from journalistic reviews, to the views of passengers.

"The first interesting point was the audible sense of anticipation in the Club House from fellow UCS passengers for whom it was a first - there were several of us debuting!!!

It is a product unlike any which I have travelled before, as a frequent flyer the ease with which it sets you is noticeable - the environment is calming and soothing. Not always the case with your competitors. The physical product is superb. 1st class materials and a fascinating design, I spent an enjoyable few minutes getting everything to work, which was made easier with some crew assistance asking if I wanted a display!! Excellent!

Then of course the moment of truth came when a crew member asked me if I was ready to have my seat turned in to a BED!!! This took just a few seconds and I was then introduced to the most amazing on board sleeping facility imaginable. Clocking in at 6'3'' and few pounds too many I was amazed how well I fitted the bed, the thought to put sheets down first was fantastic - the innovation of the hot water bottle was a delight. Needless to say, I had the best night sleep in the air EVER and cannot wait to fly again!!

The one area of surprise for me was that the VPORT system was not installed, it did seem a shame to not have the truly state of the air entertainment system when everything else is brilliantly maverick and cutting edge. Having said that the movie choice was great!

In summary, I was always a fan, now I am a super fan! "

So far, the spaciousness of the Suite has proved a winner:

"The extra space is a big help for someone with broad shoulders like me.. Congratulations to the designers."

The fully flat bed is also a hit:

"..being flat makes a world of difference"

"Very comfortable.. The cabin staff making the bed for you is a great idea."

In fact the entire package seems to have gained approval:

"I flew Upper Class (with the new configuration) to London for meetings this week, and the product is excellent. Virgin's Upper Class is every bit the equal to BA's First Class and is clearly superior to BA's Club World. I look forward to being able to choose to fly Virgin in 2004. My recent experience with BA has been mixed, and a bit of competition would be good and appropriate."

You also have suggestions for improvements:

"The bar is a great idea. But turbulence stops you using it! Would it be possible to get seatbelts on the barstools?"

"A little anti-social if travelling with someone on a day flight - maybe the partitions could optionally drop down."

We've already made a start on addressing some of the improvements our passengers have highlighted to us
