Tarantino's latest is set in WWII and built around the titular group of Jewish soldiers who operate behind enemy lines. Their paths cross that of a vengeful French woman during a daring plot to take out members of the Third Reich. The result is a big, bold, violent war movie that critics say is his best since Pulp Fiction.

Period drama starring High School’s Musical’s Efron as a teen offered a part in Orson Welles legendary stage production of Julius Ceasar. Thus the scene is (quite literally) set for a hothouse atmosphere of extramarital affairs and sexual jealously, with Welles the ringmaster. Plenty of great performances and some lovely period detail make this an absolute joy.


MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS

McGregor plays a reporter on the trail of a big story in this satirical war comedy. When he meets Special Forces agent Cassady (Clooney) he becomes embroiled in a weird netherworld of psychic soldiers and paranormal experiments.
