FOOD ALLERGIES
If you have a serious food allergy, giving rise to an anaphylactic reaction, please contact Special Assistance, who will try and request a suitable meal for you with our catering supplier. A minimum of 48 hours notice before your flight is required. Please note that this request may not always be possible, and therefore consideration should be given to taking your own food and snacks onboard.
Passengers with food allergies are recommended to carry medication, such as anti-histamines or an Epi-Pen in their hand luggage. If you have had an allergic reaction in the past 30 days, please contact Special Assistance. NUT POLICY
We do not offer nut free flights, however upon request we can provide a nut-friendly meal. This means that whilst no nuts will be used in the preparation of the meal, it will not be produced in a nut free environment and it may also include nut oils. In view of this, you may prefer to provide your own food.
You should be aware that nuts may be served on all Virgin flights as part of the menu ingredients, and the drinks service in Upper Class. With effect from 01st October 2009, nuts will be available to purchase onboard all of our flights. If you would like a nut friendly meal, please contact Special Assistance, who will request this for you with our catering supplier. Some passengers may bring food onboard with them that contains nuts or nut derivatives. Therefore it is possible that residues of peanut and other nut oils may be passed on to the upholstery and other surfaces, or circulated via the air conditioning systems. NON - FOOD ALLERGIES
If you have an allergy, which causes a serious reaction, it is important that you carry medication in your hand luggage. If you have experienced an allergic reaction in the past 30 days, please contact Special Assistance.
