Earning miles:
Membership Rewards points must be exchanged in units of 7,500 with a minimum of 15,000 per transfer, and may only be transferred to the Flying Club account of the main cardholder. When transferring Membership Rewards points to miles, please allow ten working days for the miles to appear in your Flying Club account, then call Flying Club to book your reward. Miles cannot be transferred back to American Express once credited to your Flying Club account.

No points accrue in respect of:
- Charges processed and billed prior to the Enrollment Date.
- American Express Card annual fee.
- Gold Card Draft, Cash Advance and other cash services.
- Express Cash.
- American Express Travellers Cheque purchases.
- American Express Gift Cheque or Travel Gift Certificate purchases.
- Charges for dishonored cheques.
- Finance charges-including Gold Card Line of Credit charges and Credit Card account finance charges.
- Late payment and referral charges.
- Tax refunds from overseas purchases.
- Tax Bill payment.
- Payment portion under "Points + $" redemption items.

In Hong Kong there is an annual programme fee of HK$240 for Turbo program while it is free of charge for Basic Program. Other Terms & Conditions apply and will be sent following enrolment. Membership Rewards points may not be transferred to Flying Club miles in mainland China.
