Fancy skipping the queues and breezing straight through to security next time you check in. Then you may be interested in our new check in kiosks in JFK, Newark, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Check In Kiosks allow you to check in for your flight, get your seat assigned or change your seat assignment. You can also add or amend your frequent flyer details and print your boarding pass.

In San Francisco, we are especially pleased to offer kiosks not only at our check in counters but also by the BART station.

In Las Vegas, we are very pleased to offer off-site check-in at several convenient locations: The Luxor Hotel, the Venetian Hotel, the airport car rental facility, and the Convention Center. Passengers with hand-luggage only can grab their boarding passes and ensure they arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes before departure. Passengers with bags to check will be charged a $20 baggage handling fee for using this convenient in-town service. Of course, you can always check your bags in free of charge at the Virgin Atlantic counter at the airport.

The service is available to paper and e-ticketed customers, and groups of up to nine people, traveling in the same cabin. And it doesn’t matter if you have bags to check in or just hand luggage either.

So how does Kiosk Check In work?

1. Choose your form of identification: Machine readable passport, credit card, frequent flyer card or Virgin Atlantic booking reference.

2. Select your Virgin Atlantic destination

3. Add any additional customers who are checking in with you

4. Confirm, amend or add any details required for immigration purposes (you will need your passport to hand)

5. A seat will be allocated to you but you can change this by selecting the 'seat review button

6. Amend or add frequent flyer details

7. Confirm if you have bags to check in

8. Boarding cards, lounge invitations, information coupons and e-ticket are all printed at the kiosk

9. Next, just go to the Virgin Atlantic Bag Drop if you have luggage to check in. Hand luggage only? Just proceed to Departures. All bags must be checked in 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.

And that’s it. Easy!
