We're delighted to announce that we'll soon be able to offer your company travellers flights between London and Beijing thanks to a new codeshare agreement with Air China. Air China is the national carrier of the People's Republic of China and that nation's largest airline.

Tickets can already be booked and flights start from 1 July 2006, operating from London Heathrow. In return, Air China will codeshare on our daily London to Shanghai services.

Air China operated services will be marketed in the flight number range VS7937/8.

Virgin Atlantic operated services will be marketed in the flight number range CA7020/21.

Premium Economy
Air China will not be selling Premium Economy on Virgin Atlantic flights to Shanghai. Virgin Atlantic will not be selling First Class on Air China flights to Beijing.

Limousine Transfers
No transfers will be offered to Virgin Atlantic passengers flying on Air China operated flights. Likewise, no Air China passengers flying on Virgin Atlantic operated flights will be offered limo transfers.

Frequent Flyer Programme
Reciprocal programmes: Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members can earn and redeem on Air China operated flights; Air China Companion members may earn and spend miles on Virgin Atlantic operated flights.

Lounge access
All Air China passengers flying on Virgin Atlantic operated services in Upper Class have access to the Clubhouse; all Virgin Atlantic passengers flying on Air China operated services in Business Class have access to the Air China lounge in Beijing. Air China uses the UA Red Carpet Lounge in London Heathrow.
