HOW CAN I GET AN UPGRADE FOR MY CLIENT?

At a time when other major carriers are looking to reduce amenities to business class travelers, Virgin Atlantic has once again bucked the trend by investing millions to upgrade our product and introduce the Upper Class Suite. As a result, and thanks to discerning travel agencies, we are experiencing strong demand for our Upper Class Suite.

Should you inquire about an upgrade on Virgin Atlantic, here are the options:

  • Your clients may use their Flying Club miles for upgrades, as long as there is availability in the designated booking classes. Your GDS will not show these booking classes; please contact us by phone or visit our website and we'll check it for you. If we don't show availability, your clients may request an upgrade upon check-in on their day of departure at the airport. Our airport staff will advise if there is availability, and confirm that the required milage amounts are in the passenger's Flying Club account.

  • American Express Membership Rewards points or Diner's Club Club Rewards: Your client may enroll in Flying Club and transfer American Express Membership Rewards points or Diner's Club Club Rewards to their Flying Club account, and exchange them for miles that can be used to upgrade.

  • Virgin Atlantic also accepts miles from Hilton HHonors and Starwood.
