BMI CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION

BMI have recently announced further route suspensions, which could affect our passengers.

Suspended flights:

LON-KIEV (IEV)- LONDON

LON-TEL AVIV (TLV)- LONDON

LONDON-BRUSSELS (BRU)-LONDON

The flight changes will appear in bookings from 02 Dec 09. Re-booking options may differ per route, please check the relevant sections below:

LON-AMS-LON

Agents must re-book in their own system:

Published fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto KL or BA if the original fare conditions allow.

If booking class is unavailable, the sector can be upgraded to a higher fare. The passenger will be required to pay the difference.

Net fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto KL or BA if the net fare conditions allow (travel agent must refer to their net fare conditions).

If booking class unavailable, full refund can be authorized and the passenger advised to book directly with another airline.



A full refund can be offered if unable to re-book the passenger as stated above.

LON-IEV-LON

There are no published through fares filed, so passengers booked would have booked using sector/add on fares. Please therefore provide a full refund of this sector fare/add on and advise passengers to book directly with BA/PS/W6.


LON-TLV-LON

Agents must re-book in their own system:

Published fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto LY or BA if the original fare conditions allow.

If booking class is unavailable, the sector can be upgraded to a higher fare. The passenger will be required to pay the difference.

Net fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto LY if the net fare conditions allow (travel agent must refer to their net fare conditions).

If booking class unavailable, full refund can be authorized and the passenger advised to book directly with another airline.



A full refund can be offered if unable to re-book the passenger as stated above.

LON-ALP-LON

Passengers should be re-booked onto BD services LON-DAM in the original booking class.

LON-BRU-LON

Agents must re-book in their own system:

Published fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto SN/9F/BA/AF if the original fare conditions allow.

If booking class is unavailable, the sector can be upgraded to a higher fare. The passenger will be required to pay the difference.

Net fares (traveled or untraveled)

Can be re-booked onto SN or 9F if the net fare conditions allow (travel agent must refer to their net fare conditions).

If booking class unavailable, full refund can be authorized and the passenger advised to book directly with another airline.



A full refund can be offered if unable to re-book the passenger as stated above.

Notes:

  • Virgin Atlantic will not provide any hotel accommodation for misconnections, as this is a BD cancellation.

  • Any costs associated with flight changes must be met by the passenger.
