Here is the app you've been waiting for! The Virgin Atlantic Flight Tracker mobile app provides useful information about Flight Status, Flying Club accounts and now includes Check In. You can kill time onboard, playing around with a couple of simple games and a handy global view of our network.
Interact with a spinnable, zoomable world globe showing (near) real time location of our fleet of aircraft with the ability to tap on a plane and get actual/forecasted arrival/departure info, set a landing alert or view an approximate flight path of the aircraft (NB the alerts feature on iPhone needs v3 and above of the Apple operating system).
Tap on an airport to see schedules and also a video of the destination. The videos are provided by vtravelled and cover most of our destinations and more will be added over time. The flight schedules (timetables) are taken from a live feed so are always up to date.
Check-in and select your seat. This feature is available on all the routes where online check-in is valid.
Display Flying Club tier points and last 5 transactions.
Play two simple games involving finding Richard and directing Richard’s hot air balloon between our airports. Don’t expect Doom or Halo! They are just a bit of fun to while away time.
