Working closely with organisations such as Save the Children, Shelter Box and The Red Cross, we provide financial assistance and where possible fly essential items to disaster areas.

Change for Children will also support global disaster relief appeals by making direct contributions to critical humanitarian crises.

Japanese earthquake and tsunami

Following on from the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan last month we changed our onboard appeal �Change for Children� so our passenger donations would be in support of the Japanese Red Cross.

Thanks to our crew and very generous passengers we collected an incredible £39,318.69 in just 10 days!

In addition to our Change for Children appeal staff also raised £6,458.38

The money raised is being transferred to our team in Japan who will personally hand the money over to the Japanese Red Cross and the team will be able to see first hand the impact the money will have on many families who’s lives have been devastated by the tsunami.

Shortly after the earthquake and tsunami struck we flew approximately 700 shelterboxes out to Japan. We have worked with shelterbox several times in the past delivering emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster.
