PREGNANCY & NEW BORNS

To safeguard the health of mother and baby, the following guidelines for air travel apply:


SINGLE UNCOMPLICATED PREGNANCY:

Providing your pregnancy has been uncomplicated and you are not experiencing a related medical condition, there is no problem flying whilst pregnant until your 28th week.

For travel between 28-36 weeks, a Pregnancy Information Form is required confirming the Estimated Date of Delivery and that the pregnancy is uncomplicated. Once you have had this form completed, please submit it to Special Assistance:

The form can be completed at any point within the term of the pregnancy, however should complications develop, you must contact Special Assistance in advance of travel.

All travel must be completed by the end of the 36th week.


MULTIPLE UNCOMPLICATED PREGNANCY:

For travel between 28-32 weeks, a Pregnancy Information Form is required confirming the Estimated Date of Delivery and that the pregnancy is uncomplicated. Please submit a copy of the form to Special Assistance:

The form can be completed at any point within the term of the pregnancy, however should complications develop, you must contact Special Assistance in advance of travel.

All travel must be completed by the end of the 32nd week.


OTHER RESTRICTIONS

For travel outside these restricted periods, we may only carry you for urgent medical or compassionate reasons and only on approval from our medical advisors. A suitable medical escort may also be required to accompany you.

Other restrictions may also apply; please contact Special Assistance for further details.

Any of the following should be advised to us:

  • Complicated pregnancy.

  • Recent Caesarean Section delivery.

  • Recent miscarriage.

New born babies can travel from Day 7, if born on or after the due date with no complications.


Please be aware that this form may contain dynamic elements that, when changed, may alter the contents of other fields in the form.

'Lowest' for the cheapest fare or 'Flexible' to make changes to your ticket
Passengers aged 12-15 travelling alone must contact reservations to make a booking

Children must be aged 2-11 at the time of travel

Infants do not occupy a seat
