The Gatwick Clubhouse originally opened in September 1998 and has been a favourite with passengers ever since. With a relaxed and friendly ambience, the sumptuous new Clubhouse space has now re-open and is the perfect complement to our Gatwick Upper Class service.
With seating for 130 passengers, The Clubhouse offers you everything you need for a lazy morning of relaxation.
Whether you want to read a newspaper, watch the aircraft, settle down to brunch, or have a treatment in the Cowshed Spa the new lounge has it all. You can even hide away and catch up with the internet before you leave.
Located in the Upper Level Departure Lounge.
THE SERVICE
The Clubhouse is nothing without great service. We have defined waiter points at the bar and by the Snug area. This will allow our staff to proactively manage our customer needs across this large space.
The whole environment comes together with the staff to create a Sunday morning every day of a week.
SUSTAINABILITY
Continuing to support Virgin Atlantic's sustainability targets, the Clubhouse uses generous expanses of FSC timber flooring to wind through and connect the magnificent facilities on offer to passengers, whilst our site waste management programme has reduced construction waste on site by some 40% through considered prefabrication of much of the furniture, fixtures and fittings.
The 100% woollen carpets are specified with low chemical emissions enhancing the cleanliness of the Clubhouse environment whilst providing and extremely durable finish.
Almost 70% of our light fittings are now extremely efficient, which alone reduced the Lounge's energy comsumption by nearly 6%.
