MEDICAL CLEARANCE TO FLY

Medical clearance may be required when fitness to travel is in doubt, due to either:

  • A pre-existing medical condition.
  • An unstable medical condition.
  • If onboard oxygen is required.
  • Recent illness, injury, surgery or hospitalisation.
  • Intention to seek treatment overseas.
  • Communicable Diseases.
Prior to boarding, you must be reasonably satisfied that you are medically fit to fly, (as per clause 7.2 of the Conditions of Carriage).

Details on specific medical conditions may be found here. If after reading it, you are in any doubt regarding your fitness to fly, please contact Special Assistance.

We would like you to enjoy your travel with us and for this reason we may need to ask you to provide information from your medical practitioner to ensure that you travel safely with us. In some cases we may need to refer to our medical advisors who may require additional information to make the final decision as to your fitness to fly.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend that passengers purchase suitable travel insurance that will cover any costs incurred in the event of accident or illness when away from your home country.
