EFFECTIVE 1 MARCH 2006

It's a brand new year and we've decided to make some fresh changes to the Flying Club programme. As far as earnings go, we're giving you the opportunity to boost your account balance by earning on all our flights, including our lowest Economy fare* and we've also introduced mileage bonuses for our Silver and Gold members. Okay, so we've raised our spending levels a little in places and streamlined our Economy earning levels, but don't worry, we're still as competitive as ever.

EARNING ON OUR LOWEST ECONOMY FARE

To give you an example of the new earning levels, from 1 March 2006 a round trip between London and New York will earn you:

6,916 miles for a standard Economy booking**;
10,374 miles in Premium Economy;
13,832 miles in Upper Class.

But now, for the first time, even if you book our lowest Economy fare (N Class) you'll earn 3,458 miles. So even our most infrequent flyers will quickly see the miles stacking up.

GOLD AND SILVER EARNING BONUSES

If you are a Flying Club Silver or Gold member we're giving you an extra incentive to earn with us. For the first time, we're offering Silver members a 25% mileage bonus on top of the base flown miles. And Golds will receive a 50% mileage bonus on top of the base flown miles.

WHEN WILL THESE CHANGES COME INTO EFFECT?

All new earning and redemption levels are effective from 1 March 2006. New earning levels and tier-related bonuses are effective for flights taken on or after this date. New redemption levels will apply to bookings made from 1 March 2006 onwards. As long as you make a redemption booking prior to 1 March 2006 you can travel either before or after this date at the current levels.

WHY HAVE EARNING ANG REDEMPTION LEVELS CHANGED?

We've only ever changed a few of our levels once in the 15 years since Flying Club was introduced, and that was to put some redemption levels down and earning levels up. It is the right time for us to review the levels and implement some changes in line with the market, although you can see from the tables below that we continue to offer the generous benefits you've come to expect from us.

*N class has a competitive earn depending on route purchased and in addition now earns tier points. Please see our VAA Earning table and Terms & Conditions for further details of this. Only flights purchased using mileage will not qualify to earn miles eg. Miles Plus Money fares and redemption bookings.
**Y, B, L classes now earn 100% of the base flown miles. Please see the earn table below for details of this.

VIRGIN ATLANTIC EARNING TABLE

This table shows your earnings for flying a round trip between the UK and any other Virgin Atlantic destination. To calculate the mileage earned for a mixed cabin round trip, simply add together half of the round trip figures listed below.
