Romantic drama boasting wonderful performances from Bana, as the librarian who has a gene that causes him to time travel when stressed, and McAdams as Claire, the love of his life. The result is a wonderfully romantic and quirky meditation on the nature of true love.


TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

A suitably OTT sequel, which once again sees the Autobots and Decepticons duking it out on earth, with a revived Megatron looking for payback. The robotic battles are, quite literally, awesome.

This romantic comedy stars Heigl as Abby a TV producer who works with a pig-headed relationship expert (Butler). He reckons women should use sex to get a man and bets Abby she'll land her hunky next-door neighbour that way.

Bound to enchant both young and old, Up is a comedy adventure bearing the simple message that you should always follow your dreams. It concerns 78-year-old Carl, who ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away - only to discover that he has a nine-year-old stowaway.

Alan Moore's classic comic finally gets the big-screen treatment and it's an epic, faithful translation that emerges as that rarest of beasts - a genuinely intelligent superhero movie. Although, some may say with a slightly bewildering plot.

When the Heart Lies

Nigerian drama about troubled pop star Kayira who hides away a secret - that of the twin she met in an airport toilet. Eighteen years later, that secret comes back to haunt all of those concerned.



X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

Starring Jackman is the clawed mutant, this tells the story of his past. In other words, it's very fast, it's action-packed and - for the fans - features several other X-Men in cameo roles. Not forgetting (ladies) Ryan Reynolds...
