Centre stage in this family adventure are a group of kids that discover their family's holiday home is the target for an advance party of a major alien invasion that they must repel - without alerting the adults.

This uplifting comedy concerns shy new-boy-in-town, Will, who's asked to manage a band by lead singer Charlotte. Under Will's tutelage the group turns out to have real potential. Lots of fun, and the music is great too.

This is that rarest of things, an action movie with brains. The plot involves an alien refugee camp where a human is infected with alien DNA and may now hold the key to the new species' advanced weaponry.

Judd Apatow's latest stars Adam Sandler, who gives a career-best turn as a comedian suffering from a rare blood disorder - who then begins to re-evaluate his life and his relationships. Rich, funny and absorbing, it is not to be missed.

Specially trained superspy guinea pigs (yes, you did read that correctly) are at the centre of this Disney children's adventure. The team are armed with the latest high-tech equipment and sent to defeat an evil billionaire, who plans to taking over the world with household appliances.

Unusual, satirical black comedy about a fast talking ruthless salesman (Piven - superb), who is called in to save an ailing car business and turn things around over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.


THE HOVERING BLADE

Japanese with English subtitles

A polished, edgy police drama, screened at this year's Montreal Film Festival, about two rapists who are protected by Japan's Juvenile Law and the grieving father of a murdered teen who is determined to get justice, no matter what the cost.


LOVE AAJ KAL

Epic story of a love affair involving Jai and Meera, who think of themselves as being so modern that they can go on a break. However, 'love' has very different plans for this particular couple.

Director Michael Mann has crafted an intelligent gangster movie as FBI man Bale goes up against the notorious Dillinger (Depp) in an exquisitely rendered period setting. As you'd expect from the man behind Heat, character moments are interspersed with dazzling action sequences.

Family adventure about a 'Rainbow Rock' that falls from the sky, granting wishes to those around it. Soon, the community of Black Fall is awash with giant boogers and tiny aliens. Weird, wonderful and excellent fun throughout.
