MULTIPLE ENTRY TOURIST VISA RESTRICTIONS

The Ministry of Home Affairs in India, has recently advised of some restrictions for travellers who are using a multiple entry tourist visa to visit India:

  • There must be a gap of at least two months between visits to India.

  • Any person visiting the country within two months of the previous visit, must in advance of travel, obtain special permission from a local Mission Post or Embassy.

  • Travellers who do not meet these conditions may be denied entry and returned to their country of origin, at their own expense.

Virgin Atlantic is not responsible for verifying individual travel itineraries, and therefore passengers visiting India on a multiple entry tourist visa are expected to take personal responsibility for the above.

It is strongly recommended to seek advice from the Ministry of Home Affairs website www.mha.nic.in or the applicable Mission Post/Embassy.
