TAKING SPORTS EQUIPMENT ON A FLIGHT WITH VIRGIN ATLANTIC

Virgin Atlantic allows one piece of sports equipment in addition to your free baggage allowance at no extra charge, as long as your sports equipment does not weigh more than 32Kg. There are a few restrictions that are specific to the sports equipment you want to take with you, please follow the links below for further information.

Please note, for all bookings made from 25th November 2009, the maximum weight of your sports equipment should not weight more than 23Kg.

* Virgin Atlantic defines a firearm as anything that fires a projectile, whether it uses air, string or explosive.

NEW BAGGAGE POLICY - EFFECTIVE 25 NOVEMBER 2009

From 25 November 2009, we will be changing our checked-in baggage policy. We will be moving to a 'Piece policy' for the whole of the network. The new policy will make it easier for passengers to understand our allowances and excess charges on all our routes.
