NEW CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
We have now changed our check-in baggage policy to a 'Piece System' across the entire network for all tickets booked from 25 November 2009. The changes have been made to allow us to simplify our policy and lower our charges for passengers wishing to take additional bags.
If you wish to check in extra bags outside of your free allowance, you will need to pay an additional extra baggage fee.
EXCEPTIONS:
- Gold card holders - one additional bag at 23 kilos, irrespective of the cabin flown.
- Sporting allowance - 1 additional bag up to 23 kilos, irrespective of the cabin flown. (Sporting Equipment allowance). *Any passengers booked before 25 November 2009, will be entitled to Virgin Atlantic's old baggage allowance, but also entitled to claim the newer and most generous allowance on offer. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE FOR PARTNER/CODESHARE FLIGHTS
Please note, Virgin Atlantic baggage allowances are not applicable on partner airline/codeshare flights. Therefore, if you are booked on one of these flights, please check the baggage allowance with the operating airline.
