Virgin Atlantic uses two different allowance rules depending on the route.
Allowances for Transatlantic, Caribbean, Nigerian and Kenya routes are measured by piece. Allowances for South Africa, Australia, Asia, Mauritius and Dubai are measured by weight. NEW BAGGAGE POLICY - EFFECTIVE 25 NOVEMBER 2009From 25 November 2009, we will be changing our checked-in baggage policy. We will be moving to a 'Piece policy' for the whole of the network.
