A flight to Hong Kong also takes you to the Disneyland theme park here, which has all the usual characters, but fewer crowds.

Causeway Bay lures with Cantonese culinary classics, while international dining is king in the streets of Lan Kwai Fong. Stay here for the thriving bars or drink your Tsing Tao beer in the slightly calmer bars of chic SoHo. Take a cheap flight to Hong Kong to catch the city’s Philharmonic Orchestra or the ballet, both sharing the stage at the waterfront Culture Centre.
