ITS A WIN WIN CHECK IN

We are pleased to announce that when travelling with Virgin Atlantic from Las Vegas, you are now able to check in at one of eight off-airport check in kiosks. This new service is being offered in conjunction with McCarran Airport and 'Bags To Go'.

You will be able to check in your baggage at a price of $20 for every two bags, up to the baggage allowance for your class of travel. Hand baggage only passengers can check in and receive your boarding card free of charge at the Kiosks.

You can take advantage by going to one of the locations below along with your bags, travel documents and a form of ID, like your passport.

  • Luxor Hotel - 0700-1400

  • Venetian Hotel - 0700-1400

  • McCarran Rent-A-Car Centre - 0600-1500

  • Las Vegas Convention Centre ( Only available when a convention is running)

It will be just like checking in for a flight at the airport, but without the airport! The next time you will see your luggage is when you arrive at London Gatwick so you can have more time to try and win your fortune, relax by the pool or even get married!


FAQ'S

Where is the Las Vegas off airport kiosks located?

  • There are 8 Self Service kiosks located in 4 off airport locations, open 7 days a week from 0700 to 3 hours prior to departure.
  • Luxor Hotel - Located on the Business Centre level and next to the VIP check in area.
  • Venetian Hotel - Located in the main lobby and next to the Package Centre near Sands Expo.
  • Las Vegas Convention Centre - Located in the central concourse across from Exhibit Hall C3. (Only available when a convention is running).
  • McCarran Rent-A-Car Facility - Located in the main lobby.
What will passengers be charged?

  • There is no charge for passengers checking in with hand luggage only.
  • Passengers travelling in Upper Class will not be charged for using this service
  • All other passengers may check in up to two bags each for a charge of $20 for every two bags being checked in.
What if I am travelling in a family or a group?

  • It will depend on the number of bags you have in the party. For example a family of 4 travelling with 4 bags will be charged $40. Or a party of eight travelling with 6 bags will be charged $60.
What happens at the kiosks?
  • A uniformed 'Bags To Go' customer service representative will welcome passengers at each remote check-in location and assist with the kiosk process.
  • Passengers passport and visa documents will be checked and security questions asked
  • Cabin baggage will be weighed and tagged according to the Virgin Atlantic cabin baggage policy
  • Hold baggage will be checked in and bag tag receipts issued
  • Payment, by cash or card, will be taken for using the service
  • Payment will be taken for excess baggage charges, on behalf of Virgin Atlantic
What happens to the passenger’s bags?

  • Once Bags to Go take custody of the bags, they are securely transported to an access controlled facility at the airport to be screened by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel. Once screened, the bags are delivered to the airline to be loaded on the passengers flight
What else will passengers be able to do at the kiosk:

  • Check in for their flight
  • Have a seat assigned
  • Change their seat assignment
  • Add or amend frequent flyer details
  • Print their boarding pass and baggage tags

  • E-ticket and Paper ticketed customers
  • Customers with bags to check in
  • Customers with hand luggage only
