ONLINE CHECK IN

ESTA is now mandatory when travelling to the US.

Online check in opens 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight and closes 2 hours before.

To check in online you will need:

• An e-ticket number or booking reference and flight details - how to find the booking reference
• Your passport for travel to the USA, the Caribbean, China, Australia, South Africa or Dubai
• If you are a Non US resident visiting the USA you will need to supply details of where you are staying on your first night in the USA.
• If you are a US resident holding a permanent resident card you will be required to supply details from your card for travel to the USA.

Once you're checked in:

When you arrive at the airport go straight to the Bag Drop where we'll check your luggage and give you a boarding pass. You will need to show your printed boarding pass (if you have printed one), travel documents including passport and e-ticket receipt/paper ticket at the Virgin Atlantic Bag Drop.

Printing your boarding pass online:

Please note, you will be unable to print your boarding pass online, if you are travelling on any of the following routes:

• Flights departing from South Africa.
• Flights departing from Havana.
• Flights departing from Tokyo.
• Flights departing from Tobago.
• Flights departing from Hong Kong to Sydney.
• Flights departing from Hong Kong to London.

We recommend you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure of your aircraft.

Please note Bag Drop closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight, if you have not completed the Bag Drop process by this time you will not be able to travel!

Don't forget if you are flying out of Gatwick you can take advantage of the Twilight Check in service.
