As a Red member, you don’t need to renew your membership each year. Your miles will not expire either providing that your account remains active. To keep your account active, you need to continue to earn or redeem Flying Club miles, as each mileage transaction will ensure you a further 36 months of active Flying Club membership.

The best way to keep on top of your miles is to log in to your online account so you can check out your mileage and tier points balance.

If you find that your Flying Club miles are about to expire, there are lots of ways you can extend the life of your miles, as well as your account:

• Take a flight with Virgin Atlantic remembering to quote your Flying Club membership number when booking.
  
  
• Spend on the Virgin Atlantic American Express Credit Card from MBNA.
  
  
• Buy Miles - a quick and easy way to make your miles last longer.
  
  
• Take a flight with one of our airline partners.
  
  
• Make a stay with one of our hotel partners or book car rental.
  
  

By making one of these activities before your mileage expiry date, your miles and membership will be active for another three years.
