TERMS & CONDITIONS
This competition is open to anyone aged 21 years or over, except for employees of the Virgin Group or any companies or agencies directly connected with the creation of and administration of this promotion or their families.
Only one entry will be accepted.
All photo entries must comply with the Facebook Terms of Use, the Facebook Code of Conduct and any other Facebook terms or policies in operation from time to time.
All photo entries must be submitted by email to: richardlookalike@fly.virgin.com before midnight on 24 April 2009. No entries whatsoever will be considered after this time.
All entrants must provide their full name, address and date of birth. Any entry received without this information will not be entered into the competition by Virgin Atlantic. All details provided will be verified when the competition closes.
Entries will not be acknowledged upon submission.
Once the finalists have been selected by Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Atlantic, there will be a vote (open to all Virgin Atlantic Facebook Fan page members), to decide the overall winner. The voting period will end at midnight on 31 May 2009.
Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Atlantic will select the finalists in their sole discretion.
By entering this competition Virgin Atlantic obtains full copyright of the submitted entries.
All entrants grant to Virgin Atlantic a worldwide royalty free perpetual licence to publish and use each entry in any media (including online) for publicity and news purposes. In particular, all entrants licence Virgin Atlantic the right to use their entry on the Virgin Atlantic Facebook Fan page and www.virgin-atlantic.com.
Entrants shall not submit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
Virgin Atlantic will not be responsible for any technical fault or failure which prevents a person from entering the competition.
Virgin Atlantic takes no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
Each entry must be the original work of the entrant and not previously published on the internet or otherwise.
Entries may be rejected in the sole discretion of Virgin Atlantic, including for reasons of obscenity, defamation or invasion of privacy.
The overall winners shall be notified by 1 June 2009, at the email address supplied on entering the competition.
The Prize Winner must agree to his or her name and general location being used for publicity purposes by Virgin Atlantic in any and all media.
Any breach of these competition rules by an entrant will void their entry.
Virgin Atlantic’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize will consist of: (a) one pair of Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy return tickets from London to New York (the "Prize Tickets"); (b) one night’s accommodation; in a hotel of at least 4 star quality; (c) transfers; and (d) a pair of VIP tickets to Virgin Atlantic’s 25th Birthday Party in New York for the named Prize Winner.
The Prize Winner (and their companion) must be available to travel on any date between 1 June 2009 and 30 June 2009. Actual date of travel to be confirmed.
The Prize Tickets have no cash value and are valid for travel only on the date and flight number specified by Virgin Atlantic. The Prize Tickets are non-transferable and will be offered on a confirmed basis only. No changes will be permitted.
If the Prize Winner is unable to travel on the date specified, no alternative tickets will be issued and the Prize Tickets will be offered to the competition finalist with the second highest number of votes.
The Prize Tickets are for travel in Premium Economy class only and cannot be upgraded to any other class.
No Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles will be awarded for travel on the Prize Tickets.
The Prize Winner must travel on the same flight as their companion.
The Prize Winner and their companion must attend the Virgin Atlantic 25th Birthday Party together.
The Prize Tickets are not transferable to family members or any other named person and cannot be sold, bartered or substituted for any other prize.
The Prize Winner and their companion will be entirely responsible for their own visa, passport and insurance requirements.
The Prize Winner and their companion will abide by and be subject to Virgin Atlantic's published Conditions of Carriage, which are available from any Virgin Atlantic office. Virgin Atlantic flight schedules are subject to change without notice.
In the event of an infringement of these Terms & Conditions or of Virgin Atlantic's Conditions of Carriage by the Prize Winner or their companion, Virgin Atlantic reserves the right to withdraw the Prize Tickets.
The Prize Tickets may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion or promotional fare mounted by Virgin Atlantic or any third party.
Once the Prize Tickets have been issued, Virgin Atlantic shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, or any other circumstances beyond the control of Virgin Atlantic.
The Prize Winner accepts the prize at his or her own risk.
