I'm a startup entrepreneur and I like to work on projects which really have a practical use. My main startup technology - Siine.com has to do with improving on the way we text message each other.

Virgin have got a personal vibe but still take execution and professionalism seriously. This balance is something that I try to strike in my company and I think that it is very impressive. I also really enjoy flying with Virgin, especially to Cuba!

Taxi2 enables air travellers to link up and share a taxi from the airport. This saves the passengers money and time, resulting in shorter more swiftly moving queues, as well as less pollution and congestion. To achieve this we use a bit of design wizardry (involving origami) and a bit of Web2.0 programming. Taxis are very expensive, but travelling with bags means you often need one. Sharing cuts the cost considerably.

Taxi2 extends the care for the passenger beyond the arrival gate, and provides an honest and social service which improves the experience of reaching your destination. Taxi2 is free for the user, very simple, and above all practical. Having a map of your local streets, with a message to taxi drivers in their local language, is such a useful tool when travelling that passengers will want to keep the Taxi2 sign regardless of whether they use the service to find a share partner.

I hope to expand it to mobile devices soon, and that it will be a commonly used service for travellers around the world.
