As a Gold member, you need to earn 40 tier points in your 'fixed membership year' to renew your status. Your 'fixed membership year' is calculated from the date immediately following your upgrade to Gold to the end of the same month next year.

However, if your gold membership ends on or before 31 August 2012, you will require 30 tier points to retain gold membership. In your subsequent membership year, you will require 40 tier points to maintain your status.


If your gold membership year began on or after 01 September 2011, you will require 40 tier points to retain gold membership.

For example (Changes effective from 1 September 2011):

• If your current membership year ends 31 July 2011, you will require 30 tier points to renew your account. The subsequent membership year, commencing 01 August 2011, requires 30 tier points to retain Gold membership as the membership year commenced before 01 September 2011
  
  

• If your current membership year ends 30 September 2011, you will require 30 tier points to renew your account. The subsequent membership year, commencing 01 October 2011, requires 40 tier points to retain Gold membership.
