READ THE GUIDE & BOOK CHEAP FLIGHTS TO DUBLIN
First timers
Fly in from Australia to Dublin. Flight options from Virgin Atlantic are great value and could be just the excuse you need to visit this wonderful Irish city. Wander around the grey granite walls of its 19th century Irish architecture or spend time in its trendy bars and coffee shops, designer boutiques, and thriving malls. This city is famous for its fantastic old Irish pubs but it's Dublin's warm fun loving people that will keep you coming back. Australian nationals don't need Irish visas, but you will need to exchange your Aussie dollars for Euros.
Frequent flyers
Jump off your Dublin flight and head for the pub to raise a pint of Guinness with the locals. Explore the cobbled squares and gardens of TrinityCollege. Take in some culture at the National Gallery of Ireland; or visit the vast PhoenixPark, where you'll also find Dublin Zoo. To see something truly ancient and beautiful you must visit the lovingly restored MalahideCastle.
Shops
There's plenty to keep shoppers happy in Dublin. Grafton Street is where you'll find the mainstream shops, but venture into the smaller side streets to find handicrafts, jewellery, books and clothing. For antiques and designer goods, try Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. Or browse George's Street Arcade for vintage clothes and other treasures. If you enjoy markets, Cow's Lane Market, Blackberry Fair or Temple Bar Food Market offer a brilliant chance for some great souvenirs and fine local produce.
