CARRIAGE OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

Passengers carrying one musical instrument in its case, which is too large to fit within the cabin baggage allowance, may carry it through the airport security checkpoint subject to the relevant Airport Authority approval, where it will be taken at the departure gate for loading into the hold of the aircraft.

This item will incur excess baggage charges if it is in excess of your free baggage allowance.

Please contact us in advance, if you have any questions or if you plan to carry a large musical instrument.

GENERAL ADVICE

Minimising the overall amount of baggage that you carry will help reduce queues at the central security search and flight delays. Keep your cabin baggage de-cluttered to allow the security people to get a clear uncomplicated X-ray image.

It is important however that you pack valuable or fragile items such as jewellery, keys, money/credit cards, cameras, laptops and other personal electrical items in your cabin baggage allowance and keep it with you at all times. If you decide to pack them in your checked in baggage you should have them adequately insured as our liability for damage to these items is strictly limited.

We ask all passengers to arrive at the airport, at least 3 hours ahead of the scheduled departure time shown on your ticket or e-ticket. Please use Online Check In or airport kiosks where installed. Airport check in desks will open approximately 4 hours before departure and will close promptly, 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time of each flight. Once checked-in we urge all passengers to go straight through security.

Passengers booked to depart on flights from London Gatwick, are encouraged to use our Twilight check-in service, which is open at Zone A, South Terminal, until 21:00 the evening before your flight.
