Each year, we're able to offer a small number of discounted flights to people who genuinely need our help. We receive thousands of requests and consider applications based on our general funding criteria and on the individual merits of the applicant.

If you are travelling with a pre-existing medical condition, seeking medical treatment or surgery overseas or have a disability, then please contact our Special Assistance Department at least 48 hours before departure. They will be pleased to arrange any ground or onboard assistance you may require, or obtain medical clearance for travel where necessary.

All applications for help and assistance must either be based on the following:

• Children and young people between the ages of 2-20 yrs old who are desperately in need of medical treatment in one of our destinations.
  
  
• Children and young people between the ages of 2-20 yrs old who urgently need surgery to prevent/cure life-threatening diseases.
  
  
• Medical teams that will be performing life-saving operations or providing relief aid to disaster areas. For more information, please refer to our general funding criteria.
  
  

Please note that in all of the cases above, proof in the form of a doctor's letter, or information about the project from a medical specialist is required prior to any offer of assistance.
