Change for Children supports Jubilee Action's worldwide work to rescue children at risk.

Every year in China, there are around 17 million registered births. And every year, many thousands of babies are abandoned by their parents, rejected for either being female or disabled. Jubilee Action work in partnership with COCOA (China's Orphaned and Abandoned) to provide equipment, medicine and trained staff for the many abandoned babies and children who have been given into the care of China’s children's welfare institutes.

Our work with Jubilee Action helps to sponsor over 100 babies and children in long-term care, by paying for treatment for club feet, cleft lip and palates and by providing new baby units and staff training to improve conditions.

We're also working with Jubilee Action, the New Hope Foundation and the Chinese government on the Luoyang project, which is part of a programme to upgrade facilities for abandoned children across China.

It is their hope to open a new healing home in Henan which will give much needed medical care for abandoned and orphaned infants who have been given a terminal diagnosis and disabled children in need of long-term chronic care. The home will also include a surgical unit for babies with correctable congenital disabilities.
