THE SPICE GIRLS WORLD TOUR
One of the most surreal and entertaining moments in the Virgin Atlantic Press Office was spending the day with The Spice Girls on their 2007 World Tour.
Virgin Atlantic sponsored the World Tour which started in Toronto and ended in London at the O2. The Spice Girls flew with us on a few sectors as well as having their own charter flight and were involved in the naming ceremony which took place in LA, called Spice One.
The girls came in from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and the UK Press Office created a stars dressing room for Posh, Sporty, Baby, Scary and Ginger...as well as their children and partners, yes David Beckham was there!
The girls were due to spend the day with us, getting ready for the naming ceremony that evening with their hundreds of suitcases and assistants. Whilst the Spice Babies were treated to their own playroom which came full of toys, videos and treats. It was bizarre having all the little Beckhams running around.
Emma Bunton was on crutches and David Beckham kindly massaged her leg to ease the strain and pain - lucky her!
We were fortunate enough to get the Spice Girls involved in the opening of Terminal 3 too, where they were accompanied by Vernon Kay and everything went brilliantly.
