You’ll be impressed with our smooth check in services at JFK’s Terminal 4. Your baggage will need to be X-rayed at the machine in Check In Row 7 after check in to meet screening regulations.

When to arrive for your flight
We recommend you get to the airport with plenty of time to spare – it’s a good way to avoid last-minute stress!  As a rule of thumb:

- Virgin Atlantic flights: arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to leave.
- Partner airline flights: we recommend you check in three hours before your scheduled departure.

You can check in for your flight and pick up your boarding pass using any one of the following options.

The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card. Just go to Manage your flights. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate.

Mobile check in

You can use our mobile site to check in wherever you are, anytime between 24 and 2 hours before your flight leaves.

Counter check in

Counter check in


The helpful staff at our check in desks will get you on your way as quickly as they can. You’ll find them at Departure Row 7 on the Departure Level from 14.15.

Did you know?
Due to TSA Checked-in Baggage Screening regulations, passengers are required to drop their checked in baggage at the X-Ray Machine situated in Check-in Row 7, after they have completed check-in.
