Carbon offsetting

Offsetting the CO2 created by your flight can help you to reduce your carbon footprint

While we're doing our very best to limit our impact on the environment, flying does generate CO2 emissions. That’s why we offer you the choice you to offset the emissions you produce while flying with us.

Carbon offsetting works by funding projects (mainly in developing countries) that reduce carbon emissions. There have strict criteria about what counts as a carbon reduction, a key one being that the projects would not go ahead without the carbon offsetting funding.

Carbon offsetting projects range from large scale wind and solar farms (reducing dependence on fossil fuel heavy electrical grids), to biomass cook stove projects (both reducing emissions and improving living conditions).

Since 2007, we’ve partnered with the charitable foundation myclimate to offer our customers the option of offsetting the carbon emissions associated with their flight. myclimate is one of the world’s leading providers of voluntary carbon offsetting measures.
