WiFi

We offer WiFi on every flight, so whether you want to send some emails, surf the socials or keep up to date with the news on the ground, you can stay connected to the wonderful worldwide web while you’re in the air. WiFi providers vary by aircraft type, which means the service and packages are a bit different depending on which plane you’re flying on. And it’s worth noting that because it’s delivered by satellites as we travel at 600 miles per hour, coverage and speed can be more variable than, say, your home broadband.

Getting connected

Once WiFi is turned on after take off, you can keep your device on flight mode but enable WiFi to connect to the Virgin Atlantic network. You’ll be taken automatically to our WiFi website virgin-atlantic-wifi.com, where you can browse and purchase a package based on how long you need and what you want to do – messaging only, one hour, or for the whole flight.

* You might find that coverage drops out occasionally for a minute or two, for example as we move from one satellite’s range to another. Internet speed also depends on how many people are using it at the same time.
