Virgin Atlantic buys everything from aircraft engines to envelopes, from energy to eggs.
This is why we were the first airline to offer Fairtrade tea and coffee onboard our flights and have partnered with One Water. We're also rolling out a sustainable procurement policy with our suppliers. This policy sets out a range of conditions, from ensuring that staff are paid a fair wage and that no child labour is used in the manufacture of the products we buy, to reducing the environmental impact of our supply chain.
We’re also focusing on these issues through our Change is in the Air partner Free the Children, working to raise awareness about child labour in the developing world.
You'll be able see more of our sustainable buying strategy in our Autumn 2012 Sustainability Report.
