Gulf Air was founded in 1950. Today, it is owned by the Kingdom of Bahrain and is the only truly pan Gulf carrier in the region. The airline's network stretches from Europe to Asia and more than 40 cities.
The partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Gulf Air will terminate on the 1st October 2015. Therefore, we are unable to accept any new reward bookings for travel on Gulf Air as of the 14th July 2015. Any bookings made and ticketed on Gulf Air prior to this date, for travel later in the year will be honoured.
Members will be able to earn their miles when travelling on Gulf Air up until the 30 September 2015.
For one way flights, halve the number of miles earned.

Please show your Flying Club membership card at check in.
When claiming miles please keep all copies of your original tickets/e-tickets and boarding passes until the correct amount of miles appear on your account. If the miles do not show on your account within six weeks, complete a claim missing miles form.

If you're a member of one of our partner airlines' frequent flyer programmes, please note that you can only earn miles in one scheme for any particular flight.
Miles will be issued to Flying Club members when travelling in the classes listed. Additional miles will not be earned for bookings that are subsequently upgraded to a higher class whereby an additional fare difference is paid.

Open jaws and stopovers are permitted for destinations within the same zone.
Mileage levels refer to direct flights only.
For Journeys involving indirect routings, individual sector mileages should be added together.
